Seems like Friday is my day to post life updates...
Can I just say that I work with some awesome people? Really, I do. They are fun and I learn so much about life from their wisdom. I am not used to being the 'baby' of the work staff. I have always been on the older side of things. It's nice being on the opposite end for once. They help whenever I have questions and I am blessed that even though this is a job filled with competition, we still treat each other as family.
That being said... I need to find some girls to hang out with!!! I need that girls' night out or the day at the beach. My girls are all so far away! I miss the people from Michigan that we could call up at a moments notice and have plans set the rest of the night. I miss cooking dinner while the guys cuss over video games. It is moments like this where I wish that I were more of a social person. I know that it is ironic that I am shy, but that I work in a commission based sales job.
Hmmm.... also I finally got to go to Kennedy Space Center this past Tuesday with my dad and brother. I had a great time. Truly, it was one of those days that I had no complaints and I just enjoyed everything. Space has always been a facisination that I share with my parents and brother. Brad shares it as well. Mom and Brad unfortunately had to work and as this was a total spur of the moment event, they were not so happy with us. I felt bad, but that is why we did the bare minimum tour and didn't even complete it. We are planning a return trip very soon. Perhaps when fall gets here and the temps come down a bit.
Brad's sister was here the past weekend and I loved having her and her daughter here. It was so nice to have family around and talk about our family life. They also got us a couple housewarming gifts. One of them was one of those Magic Bullet blenders and I just have to say that I LOVE it! I have already begun to experiment and I have plans in my head of other things that I want to try very soon.
Okay beyond that there are some things that I am I thinking of doing and I'm hoping to get some feedback on.
1. I am getting my haircut. Hopefully next Tuesday. I haven't done it since my birthday back in January. Yes, I can feel some of the ladies cringing. Thankfully, I don't overstyle my hair. I very rarely straighten it with a flat iron, curl it, or blow it dry. I'm very low maintence on the hair most days. I also follow recommendations of washing my hair only once a week because it is so long. (I hate it, but when it is this long it is necessary to keep it from drying out.)
What I am wondering is if any local Floridians have any suggestions on good salons? I'm thinking of the Aveda Salon in the Loop. It has good reviews and I'm an Aveda product user.
2. P90X, I know some of you out there have tried it, but I want to know how your results were. I have read a few blogs, but I would love to ask questions of someone who actually has used the product. Please let me know!
Until next time!
