Promotions

Well, I was promoted to a key holder (manager on duty) effective on Thursday of this past week. I've been with La-Z-Boy a little over 4 months. Not sure how I feel about it, except that the pay raise pays for Medical that I just started. Its kinda nice to be fully employed, have insurance and feel like an adult.

Also, there is a strong possibility that Brad will be promoted to a shift worker instead of the on-call board at work. This means he will have set days off, he will also gain seniority, and first dibs on overtime over two other people. He's pretty excited for this to happen. We hope that this happens before the holidays, but we shall see.

I can't wait for Black Friday this year because Brad and I will be taking full advantage of several sales. We will be finishing the furnishing process for the new apartment, including my new washer/dryer, bedroom furniture, and tv stands. We need to get bookcases and I will be making a trip to Houston very very shortly. Maybe I will catch up with some old friends.
