When did time fly by so fast? It is already the latter half of 2009, the holidays are truly just around the corner, and I feel like I am just catching up to summer. Also, when the heck did we all become so domesticated? By 'we' I mean the people I went to high school and college with because we are all getting married, buying houses, having babies, and it is truly awesome. I am truly happy that so many people that I spent significant years with growing up are happy. I never thought I would be in a place where I would be excited about getting new furniture, getting a new washer and dryer of my very own, and thinking about what I need to do in order to purchase a home in the next year or so. This all makes me feel kinda old, but I don't really care.
Brad and I have been in our new place for just about a week and I fall in-love with it a little more each day. I can't wait until we start getting our furniture into the place. My dad and brother are gonna bring our remaining boxed stuff out here in about a week. Then I will have to wait for a month or so before I can bring out the actual furniture that I still have out in Houston. We picked out our furniture about a week and a half ago, just waiting for it to arrive. The bedroom is going to be the next room we tackle and I have the bed picked out, but we've got to put more in savings for it before we buy it most likely around October. The dining room will be the last and easiest room that will be done in time for Thanksgiving. I can't wait.
In the meantime, I have my Chessie cat back. He loves his new balcony and the rest of the apartment too. Well, time to get ready for work....
