St. Patty's Day and Anniversaries

One Year Ago March 15th...

Today is St. Patrick's Day and I'm Irish. The irony here is I never drink on St. Patty's. Just an observation I made as I drove through BG watching the college kids walk around in their green shirts, shoes, headgear, and what not. It was amusing to see them out on the lawns of their rented houses playing beer pong in the middle of the afternoon and overflowing out of the houses with blaring music. Made me feel very old!

Today also happens to be my in-laws wedding anniversary. They celebrated by surprising me and Brad with Brad's birthday present. (His birthday is Sunday)

So excited for this present because we are going to make very good use of it as soon as it is all put together. So thankful to have such awesome family.

As I mentioned it is my in-laws anniversary. Brad's Mom chose to go to our favorite restaurant in North Baltimore, OH. The Whistle Stop Inn. LOVE! Today, they had traditional Irish fair added to the menu and of course I had to partake in some! It was pretty good. Definitely change of pace. I had been hoping for some shepherds pie, but I can make that myself. Now we go to this restaurant so frequently, and it is a small town, that we know the waitresses by name. Today, Carol was working and she met Brad's parents when they were down here looking for our apartment. So she was the first to kind of 'adopt' us in NB. We mentioned we were there celebrating our in-laws anniversary and at the end of the meal, the waitresses brought out a small cake for the four of us! It was totally sweet of them and was a completely surprised by this gesture. We loved this place before and everytime we go there, we find a new reason to love it.

I don't think I could be happier after such a beautiful spring day! Got a lot accomplished and enjoyed life greatly.
