Feeling Lucky

Since we moved back to the midwest, I feel every day how very lucky I am to have such an amazing family. A couple weeks ago now, the female members of my family, along with a handful of wonderful friends gathered for my bridal shower. I felt truly blessed and loved.

My cousins Erin and Beth, both arrived early to help my mother with the preperation for the party. Erin brought her girlfriend Laura and between the three of them, they cleaned, chopped, mixed, and did many other things I am sure to be missing. My mother's friend Jen and her girls Alice and Laura also were a tremendous help. I could not be more grateful for all the help that these ladies provided.

I was so excited and anxious to see family that I have not seen in a few years. I wish that I had been able to take more pictures, but everyone's camera batteries were dead! I was very bummed. I managed to get a few which I will post on facebook a little later.

I loved my dress that took forever to find, but only got snatches of in pictures. I loved seeing so many people Brad and I love in one place. It makes me all the more anxious for the wedding in August.

I could rave for hours about how loved I felt as I was surrounded by the amazing people in my life. There were some surprises along the way, especially a gift from Great Grandma Muggy and my aunt Sue. It brought tears to my eyes as my great grandmother passed away when I was very young. I also missed those that were no longer with us as well as those that could not be there.

There was wonderful food and lots of conversations had around the room. I wish I had been able to have more conversations with everyone. If this is a preview of what the wedding may be like, I am so glad that I will have twice the time to talk to everyone.

This is the gift that made me cry.

Brad picked out the bedroom set and I loved it! We completed it with gift cards when I learned that the collection was being discontinued. I have dubbed it, Mt. Pillow

My new red styled kitchen. All the little touches of red really made it feel homey and complete. I love love love the new coffee maker and my iHome. I use both frequently.

The green and chocolate bathroom.
These towels are absolutely AMAZING!!! So incredibly soft and I can't wait to get the rest of them.
The bathroom feels grown up and calming.

Thank you everyone for coming and helping to complete our home.
